Quality Assurance & Compliance
Consumers are increasingly aware of quality standards. At SVC, we’re committed to providing the very best of quality assurance to our clients.
For us, quality is an executive priority, which is why SVC’s quality management system is directly overseen by the company’s executive management team. We regularly audit our own systems and facilities and those of key suppliers to ensure the highest standards are upheld. We currently hold several quality assurance certificates from bodies including The Soil Association and COSMOS and our production facilities hold an ISO 14001 certifications.
Compliance
Tobacco Products Directive (TPD)
SVC Labs is a fully TPD compliant manufacturer of E-Liquids. We work with internal, external compliance, regulatory agents, and laboratories to secure our future in the post TPD world.

Tobacco Products Directive (TPD)
In May 2016 the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) introduced new rules for nicotine filled cigarettes and refillable e-liquid containers. The Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) introduced new rules to ensure minimum standards for the safety and quality for nicotine filled cigarettes and refillable e-liquid. The new rules set out in Tobacco Products Directive TPD 2014/14/EU (TPD) also protect children and for consumers to be provided with the necessary information to make and informed decision.
SVC Labs is a fully TPD compliant manufacturer of E-Liquids. We work with internal, external compliance, regulatory agents, and laboratories to secure our future in the post TPD world.

Cannabinoid Testing
We offer our High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) testing facility to both businesses (B2B) and to consumers (B2C) seeking third party analysis of their hemp product. Our clients includes growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and CBD companies seeking accurate certificate of analysis (COA) for their customers surety.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Cannabinoid testing
As the legalisation of cannabis for both medicinal and recreational use continues to advance, the need for simple and reliable analytical methods for the analysis of these products is desired by many industry stakeholders (producers, regulators, and consumers).
The hemp plant is a complex natural product known to produce at least 113 different cannabinoids. Traditionally, analysis has focused on five primary compounds: cannabidiol (CBD), delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (d9-THC), delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THC-A), cannabidiolic acid (CBD-A), and cannabinol (CBN). Recently, more attention has been paid to some of the other minor cannabinoids, particularly in the medicinal market, which requires methods that are capable of higher resolution separations. Globally industry bodies are developing harmonised methods for cannabinoid profiling to minimise the variability in sampling, extraction, and analysis with an aim to improve accuracy. High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the preferred methodology adopted for THC, CBD & CBG as it can identify and measure the structurally similar cannabinoids and their acid forms (THCA, CBD & CBGA) in a single analysis.
SVC Labs have invested in the latest High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Cannabinoid testing equipment to ensure product consistency for our CBD white label clients.

Cannabinoid Testing
What is High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)?
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a form of column chromatography that pumps a sample mixture or analyte in a solvent (known as the mobile phase) at high pressure through a column with chromatographic packing material (stationary phase).
Cannabinoid Testing
What Cannabinoids do we test using HPLC?
We test each cannabidiol (CBD) product for a number of cannabinoids these include, Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDA), Cannabigerolic Acid (CBGA), Cannabinol (CBD), d9-THC, d8-THC, Cannabichromene (CBC), THCA-A (THCA), Cannabidivarin (CBDV).

Quality Assurance
overview
Quality Assurance
At a fundamental level, Quality Assurance (QA) aims to ensure consistency, reliability, accuracy and precision of reported test results. This is to be achieved through the various means outlined in this handbook using a ISO 9001 framework with reference to the following Quality Management Principles (QMP):
The quality of a finished product can be affected by a wide range of factors and variables which can occur at any stage of the manufacturing process from inception to production. This guide aims to implement QA measures especially in the context of product testing/analysis and laboratory operations in order to ensure that the analysis of each product adheres the highest possible levels of Consistency, Reliability, Accuracy and Precision. This not only ensures that customers receive the highest standard of quality, it also ensures that products are safe for consumption and maximises the safety of staff.

Quality Assurance (QA) Analysis
In-House Testing
In-House testing aims to evaluate the quality of finished manufactured products throughout the duration of the overall manufacturing process. This is undertaken by Research and Development in conjunction with Liquid Manufacturing and Production.
Quality Assurance (QA) Analysis
Chemical Analysis
Toxicological analysis is undertaken by an external compliance agency to ensure that products are TPD compliant, safe for human consumption and legal to sell.
